For Florescu, this represents a return to her roots: the Romanian-American driver began her motorsport journey thanks to Constantin Raileanu, now Team Principal of Real Racing. It was Raileanu himself who first spotted her talent, giving her the opportunity to experience her first time behind the wheel of a Mini kart at the La Conca circuit in Italy, during a karting camp.
It was in karting that Florescu began to stand out, achieving significant results both in the Italian ACI Karting Championship and in several international competitions.

In 2022, as recognition of her abilities, she was also awarded the Rising Stars prize as part of the FIA Girls On Track programme. 2026 marked her debut in Formula 4 competitions, first in the winter series and then in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship, where she is continuing her development path.
The young driver is also part of the More Than Equal programme, the initiative co-founded by David Coulthard and Karel Komárek with the aim of supporting and developing the best female talents in motorsport, with the goal of bringing a woman to the Formula 1 World Championship title. Over recent years, Florescu has attracted attention thanks to her convincing performances and consistent competitive growth.
Her career also includes the Rookie Tests held during the inaugural round of the 2025 F1 Academy season, while her participation as a wild card entry at the upcoming Zandvoort round of the Formula 1-supported female series has already been announced.
Her debut in the Italian championship will therefore represent a further step in her development, as she will face one of the most competitive Formula 4 fields in the world at Mugello. The fourth round of the season is once again expected to feature a large and highly competitive grid, with a field of drivers of the highest technical level.
“We’re proud to welcome Zoe back to Real Racing for the Mugello round of the Italian F4 Championship. Having started her motorsport journey with our team, it’s great to be working together again” the team stated following the official announcement.
